The SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2023 (SHRM23) wrapped up in Las Vegas earlier this week and we at Kantola were proud to highlight our special partnership with SHRM among thousands of exhibitors and attendees at this extraordinary event.
The event offered participants a chance to explore the latest trends in HR, including talent acquisition, mental health, empathetic leadership, employee engagement, HR technology, and more. With over 380 speakers, the conference attracted a record-breaking attendance of over 20,000 HR professionals, executives, students, and others. An additional 2,500 attendees were registered for the virtual experience.
Zig Serafin, the CEO of Qualtrics, began the conference with a session titled “Leading the Way: How CHROs are Shaping the Future of Work.” Serafin emphasized the importance of establishing a deeper emotional connection with employees and highlighted the strategic significance of HR in today’s organizations.
Companies are looking to hold a deeper emotional connection with their employees. HR and HR leadership are becoming more strategically important to companies. At the end of the day, the goal is to make business more human.

Driving change, meaningful transformations
SHRM23’s theme, “Drive Change,” urged HR professionals to bring about positive and meaningful transformations within their organizations—underscoring the current business landscape, which prioritizes the well-being of individuals, and the necessity of organizational purpose aligning with core values that revolve around a human-centric approach.
Our conversations with other HR professionals at SHRM23 emphasized the importance of bringing more humanity into our methods of leading, managing, and developing employees—as well as growing business.

At Kantola, we believe resilient organizations prioritize this cultivation of a diverse and inclusive workforce, where every individual feels a sense of belonging and is encouraged to give their best—even in challenging times—through interactive, story-based training. These organizations nurture diverse cultures and implement processes that promote a sense of security, inclusivity, and adaptability.
If you stopped by Kantola’s booth to get to know us and why we’re so passionate about what we do—thank you! We’re already looking forward to connecting again in 2024.
